Allow Extra Time for Parking Downtown This Weekend

Consider alternate transportation options if visiting Downtown this weekend

OKLAHOMA CITY – Allow more time for parking if you’re visiting downtown this weekend. Multiple events including back-to-back Garth Brooks shows on Friday evening and Saturday will limit the availability of parking in the area.

EMBARK owns five downtown public parking garages with approximately 5,200 spaces. Event parking is $10 and is collected as you enter the parking facility. Paying with cash is quicker than using a credit card to enter garages. ADA accessibility and clearance information for each facility can be found at www.parkingokc.com. The garages are:

  • Arts District (431 W Main Street)
  • Century Center (100 W Main Street, enter on Sheridan)
  • Cox Convention Center (1 Myriad Gardens, enter on Robinson or E.K. Gaylord)
  • Santa Fe (101 N E.K. Gaylord Blvd.)
  • Sheridan/Walker (501 W Sheridan Ave., enter on Sheridan or Walker)

Downtown visitors are encouraged to carpool, take EMBARK bus service or a taxi or ride sharing service, as an alternative to driving alone.

There are numerous public and private parking garages and surface lots around downtown and Bricktown. Many are shown on a map on the Downtown OKC Inc. website. Additionally, there are a limited number of downtown spaces for on-street parking.

Once downtown, consider using the Spokies bike sharing service or EMBARK’s free Downtown Discovery (Route 050) to get around downtown. The Downtown Discovery runs every 15 minutes until 8 p.m. and every 30 minutes until 11 p.m., and stops in downtown and Bricktown.

Travel in and around downtown is also impacted by street closures and other traffic advisories, find the latest information using an interactive map on the City of OKC website.
