Accessible Parking

COTPA wants to make every effort to have public parking in downtown accessible for individuals with disabilities.

Accordingly, it is now easier to come Downtown and park:

• Park in COTPA Garages off-street - handicapped-designated spaces are located in each of the public garages per ADA Parking Design Requirements.
• Individuals with a valid handicapped placard or a handicapped vehicular license plate may park at any downtown meter for free but can only park there for the posted time limit.

ADA spaces in the COTPA Parking Garages*

• Arts Garage - 17 total ADA spaces
• Century Center - 19 total ADA spaces
• Sheridan Walker - 28 total ADA spaces
• Convention Center - 24 ADA spaces

*Generally in all garages ADA parking spaces are found near the elevators of the garage. If the spaces are full on one floor, try circling up to the next floor and look again near the elevator lobby.
